STEAMPRO CORPORATE
SteamPro is the ONLY total-service company combined with unique technology in steam and other energy savings by removing and recovering condensate. Using award-winning technology, SteamPro's innovation sets new records in savings, effiency, safety and longevity. Adapted from the US navy technology, Dr Michael Troy is the force behind the system whose designs include Steamgard and products still used in space today.
Steampro differs from other steam trap vendors by being a complete solutions provider in energy conservation as opposed to merely supplying hardware. In fact, Steampro's condensate removal solution eliminates the need for steam traps.
SteamPro's customise-to-need approach means that every solution provided is unique to suit the individual set-up and environment. As a result, SteamPro can be fitted into most existing set-ups with virtually no problems.
Steampro's condensate removal device is made of 100% stainless steel, even its internal components and operates with no moving parts. This means little or no wear and tear with virtually zero maintenance costs.
Steam and condensate enters the Steampro condensate removal device where the condensate is first filtered out by the strainer. The filtered condensate continues to be pushed out by the steam which enters Steampro's custom-sized Venturi nozzle where condensate is removed immediately, completely, and continuously with minimal steam loss and jetted out back into the condensate return pipeline. Any accumulated debris can be flushed out through the blow-off valve.
Compared with conventional steam traps which generally consist of cast iron, Steampro's 100% stainless steel and robust design can withstand much higher pressure and is much more resistant to acid corrosion.
A common misconception is that fixed nozzles allow continuous steam loss. In fact, Steampro is custom-fitted to allow a multi-phase flow which is dominated by the condensate, normally at a rate of 30% of the condensate capacity. At this rate with moderate steam pressure, steam loss is approximately one-eighth of the steam flow at single-phase flow capacity. In actual practice, some steam loss should be allowed in order to discharge non-condensable gasses.
With an operating pressure of 20 bar and below, Steampro has a minimum lifespan of 20 years under moderate pressure, at least 8 times beyond that of conventional traps. In extreme cases, conventional traps only last a day.
Working in conjunction with Steampro's custom-manufactured condensate recovery unit can result in further savings. A virtually closed system, up to 98% of condensate can be recovered ... with almost 40% fuel savings using the combined Steampro condensate removal and recovery solution.
Water consumption and chemical cost savings can reach 50% resulting in a cleaner environment and helping to reduce global warming effects.
For countries with scarce water resources, such as Australia and the Middle East, such savings are essential. Steampro's durability also ensures sustainable savings on steam loss.
